Meet Kara

I’ve always had a passion for transforming spaces — taking everyday rooms and turning them into beautiful, functional places that bring calm and joy. When I started Refined Spaces & Co., it was with the desire to help others experience the peace and simplicity that an organized, well-designed space can bring.​

My philosophy is simple: less is more. I believe a well-designed space isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how it makes you feel and how it supports the way you live. Whether it’s refreshing a living room, simplifying a closet, staging a home with your own pieces, or creating systems that last, my goal is to bring clarity, function, and elegance into your home.​

Before launching Refined Spaces & Co., I spent more than 35 years as a corporate HR leader. That experience taught me the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and truly listening to people, qualities I now bring to every client relationship. My approach blends polished design with genuine care, meeting you where you are and helping you create a space that feels like home.​

Outside of work, I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, walking my lab, and serving in my church community. Refined Spaces & Co. is more than a business to me, it’s a way to serve others by creating spaces that make life a little lighter, simpler, and more beautiful.​
